NISTI Team Interviews Artisan on 3D-Printed Traditional Khmer Lion Sculpture Prototype

Phnom Penh, March 15, 2026 — The team from the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) conducted an in-person interview with a skilled sculpture artisan who has recreated a “Lion Sculpture” in traditional Khmer style as a prototype using 3D printing technology.

This innovative work will be showcased to the public at the upcoming National Science, Technology and Innovation Day (STI Day) March 26-28, 2026 Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center
