On June 3, 2026, the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) organized a workshop on "Development of training programs that focus on innovation, teaching methods, evaluation and continuous improvement of quality for mirco, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector", presided over by H.E Dr. Keo Socheat, Director General of NISTI. The workshop aimed to gather input from stakeholders in the development of the training program, including Discuss the basic skills, soft skills and qualifications that the trainees need for the food processing enterprise and Discuss current research trends and developments in the food sector, both now and in the future, to improve training programs for food processing enterprises.
Working Group discussed the main areas, including:
✅Storage: postharvest technology
✅Food processing and innovation: Food products development through research and development (R&D)
✅Storage: Packaging, storage conditions.
In this program, 70 participants joined from relevant ministries and institutions, professors, researchers from universities, research institutes, private companies, micro and small enterprises, and NGOs.
