Shenzhen City of China, from June 3-18, 2026: NISTI's official participated in a Seminar on “ICT Planning and Construction Capability for Developing Countries” in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province - People’s Republic of China, which was organized by Shenzhen Association for Promoting International Economic & Technological Cooperation (Shenzhen APIETC). The program brought together representatives from Cambodia, Cabo Verde, Ethiopia, Federated State of Micronesia, Ghana, Mauritius, Tanzania, Uruguay, and Zimbabwe, to understand and gain new knowledge about cutting edge technological innovations, digital governance, and ICT infrastructure for smart city development.

- Lecture on information and telecommunications technology in big data management and technology infrastructure for smart city management.
- Pathways and mechanisms for high-quality economy development driven by information and communication technology (ICT)
- Visits to several state-owned enterprises and companies in Shenzhen and Tianjin included Hytera Communications Corporation Limited, Kylin software Co., Ltd, Tianjin Digital Economy Industry Group, Tianjin Rail Transit Command Center, and Longgang Smart Center.
The participation of Cambodian Officials in the regional event reflects the ministry’s commitment to keeping pace with the development of AI technology and promoting the implementation of digital innovations that can contribute to the development of the industrial and technological sectors in Cambodia.
