Regional Workshop “Enhancing Digital Adoption in Agriculture and Agribusiness MSMEs”Hanoi, From July 7 to 8, 2026 — A technical official from the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) under the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) participated in the Mid-Project Regional Workshop៖ “Enhancing Digital Adoption in Agriculture and Agribusiness MSMEs”, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Lao PDR, with support from the Australia for ASEAN Futures (Aus4ASEAN Futures) through the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Work Plan V (2026–2030).
The workshop brought together representatives from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam, and Timor-Leste (CLMV-TL) to review, validate, and refine the findings of the Comprehensive Assessment. Participants also discussed strategic plans and policy recommendations aimed at accelerating digital adoption in the agriculture and agribusiness sectors, with a particular focus on supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Discussions emphasized ensuring that proposed interventions are relevant, prioritized, and feasible within the national context of each participating country.
The outcomes and inputs generated during the workshop will be consolidated into a preliminary regional document for further consultation and collective endorsement. This will help strengthen regional coordination and support the effective implementation of the project's next phase.
