Supporting Local SMEs through Collaboration & Technical Solution

Phnom Penh, 8 September 2026

A technical team from the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) conducted a consultation session to discuss key challenges and provide technical solutions to two local processing enterprises: Chav Sousdey fishery processing handicraft and Chun Malis smoked fish processing enterprise.

The consultation focused on the following areas:

1. Identifying key challenges faced by the enterprises, particularly those related to finished product quality, the selection of appropriate packaging materials, and packaging methods.

2. Providing practical technical guidance and solutions to address the identified challenges, to improve product quality and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
